Did filling and cleaning so far. Everything is prefect. Dr. Wang is a pro. Definitely the first one to ask if you have any questions. Every staff is so nice.

On Thanksgiving day, there is a lot to be grateful for today. I want to thank the formidable team at the Airport Blvd location. I recently moved to Austin and was lucky to have found Diana, Tasha, and Dr. Sun; customer service, technical expertise, and dentistry science came together to assist me with my dental needs; thank you!Andres M.

This place is incredible.Unfortunately I dont have the names of the doctors or assistants who were involved, but I will give as much detail as possible.I came in to Rivery Dental for a consultation back on July 30th and learned that I needed yet another deep clean. I got one about 2 years ago somewhere else - the establishment I first went to was not nearly as great or professional as Rivery Dental. So, the Dr explains that I would need to wait till September for the deep clean so that its covered under my insurance - if I were to do the deep clean beforehand, the insurance would only cover about 50% (if I recall correctly). I asked the Dr if she could provide me the breakdown of how much it would cost if I were do it beforehand. Later on in the consultation I'm provided with this breakdown, but I misunderstood and thought that the final cost shown is what I ultimately had to pay even with insurance covering the necessary amount.Because I misunderstood the information given to me, I may have been a little difficult to work with and asked for clarification. Despite my demeanor, Diana the front desk associate gave me the most patience and grace and explained everything thoroughly again - she even extended that I go behind the counter to review what she was seeing on the screen. She also followed by via text to give me more assurance.I had my first appointment a few days ago, and the Dr and assistant were absolutely exemplerary. I needed to be numbed which had never experienced before, but they were very caring and patient with me.I have my second appointment at the end of this month and I wish it was sooner simply because it was such a pleasant experience, and my teeth are looking better than they have ever before. I truly appreciate the patience and care that Ive gotten at Rivery Dental. Again, despite my initial interaction with this team (in which I was not necessarily the easiest to work with), they have been absolutely amazing. I'm moving to Houston in January and wish I had more time with Rivery Dental, but I will continue to fulfill my appointments with them until then.Thank you Rivery Dental❤️

Comprehensive Evaluation

Your first visit includes a comprehensive exam in which our doctor will talk to you about your dental and medical history and note any questions or concerns you may have. Many health conditions are indicated in the mouth and can affect oral health, so your medical information is very important in diagnosing issues with your teeth, gums and mouth.

During your first visit, we will:

  • Take full mouth x-rays to identify any current problems and to use as a baseline on future visits to detect early signs of problems. The American Dental Association recommends getting a full series every three years.
  • Assess gum condition and health.
  • Examine teeth for cavities and condition of old dental restorations.
  • Perform a head and neck exam, including salivary glands and lymph nodes, for swelling or other abnormalities.
  • Screen for oral cancer and TMJ (jaw joint).
  • Clean and polish your teeth.

Diagnosis and Treatment Plan

After completing the checkup and cleaning, our doctor will talk to you about the findings, discuss a regular checkup schedule and dental treatment plan (if needed), and answer any questions or concerns you may have. If treatments require a specialist, we’ll give you a referral.

Patients Under 18 Years of Age

Please note that patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all visits. We want to meet with both of you to discuss findings and treatments, and to address your questions and concerns.
